Elektrische Fietsen Center — Logo for an Electric Bike Repair Centre

Logo for Elektrische Fietsen Center, an electric bike repair centre
Electric Bikes Repair International

Elektrische Fietsen Center is a Dutch repair centre specialising in electric bikes, a technical sector where the identity above all needs to convey reliability and competence.

Project background

Elektrische Fietsen Center operates in the Netherlands, in a market where the electric bike holds a central place in everyday mobility. The project aimed to build an identity able to reassure urban cyclists entrusting the workshop with a costly, technical piece of equipment, while staying accessible enough for a neighbourhood business.

The work

The logo combines a technical, trustworthy aesthetic, consistent with a business specialising in repairs, while staying accessible to a broad audience of urban cyclists.

Why this style

For a technical repair centre, the identity needs to inspire confidence immediately: a customer entrusting a costly piece of equipment needs clear visual signals of seriousness and competence.

What makes a good logo for a technical repair business?

For a specialist repair centre like this one for electric bikes, the visual identity above all needs to reassure on technical competence: a customer entrusting costly, complex equipment is looking for clear signals of seriousness, know-how and reliability before any aesthetic consideration.

A logo that's too decorative or too light could feel out of step with the real technicality of the trade, whereas a restrained, precise construction consistent with the world of electric mobility builds trust from the very first visual contact, whether in-store or online.

Working for a Dutch client called for particular care with the brand name within the logo's construction: a long, compound name (Elektrische Fietsen Center) had to stay legible at a glance, both on a shopfront and on a small sticker applied to a repaired bike.

The final result comes in a short version (monogram) for small formats and a full version for the shopfront and official documents — a flexibility essential for a multi-surface neighbourhood business.
