Consulting & Agility
River Glide — Visual Identity for an Organisational Agility Consultancy

River Glide is an international consultancy specialising in organisational agility. The challenge: visually embody abstract notions — movement, adaptation, continuous transformation — in a highly corporate sector where most identities look alike.
Project background
River Glide is an organisational agility consultancy with offices in London (UK) and Sydney (Australia). The company supports teams and leadership through agile transformation, combining coaching with software solution development. The logo was created in 2009.
The work
The logo relies on flowing curves evoking a watercourse, a direct echo of the company's name. This visual metaphor represents the notion of flow and adaptability without resorting to an abstract symbol disconnected from the company's real activity.
Why this style
In B2B consulting, an overly generic identity gets lost among the competition. Building a symbol that literally tells a story (here, the glide of water) helps the brand stick in memory far beyond a simple choice of colours.
What makes a good logo for a consulting firm?
A consulting firm sells trust and expertise above all — two abstract notions a logo must nonetheless make tangible. Unlike a mass-market product, a consulting firm's identity has to reassure a demanding, often international, professional audience, without ever looking austere or impersonal.
The best consulting-firm logos avoid overly abstract symbols (geometric shapes with no inherent meaning) in favour of a visual metaphor tied to the company's real activity: movement for agility, connection for collaboration, clarity for strategy. This coherence between the symbol and the company's message is what sets a memorable consulting logo apart from an interchangeable one.
