Say Yes to *orn is a brand of eco-friendly objects made from corn, for which the identity needed to convey both innovation and genuine responsible commitment.

Project background

Say Yes to *orn makes everyday objects from corn, a renewable raw material, as part of a firmly eco-friendly approach. The project consisted of building an identity able to carry this responsible, innovative positioning, without falling into the overly expected visual codes (green, leaf, planet) already saturating the eco-responsible brand sector.

The work

The logo weaves in a visual play on words around the brand name, consistent with a committed communication style and a slightly offbeat tone typical of eco-responsible brands looking to stand out.

Why this style

For an innovative eco-friendly brand, the identity needs to avoid the sector's overly expected codes (green, leaf, earth) in favour of a more distinctive, memorable signature.

What makes a good logo for an eco-responsible brand?

For a brand of objects made from renewable raw materials like corn, the identity needs to convey both innovation and sincere environmental commitment, without falling into the visual clichés of the ecology sector (green leaf, stylised planet, green gradient). A play on words or a wink within the brand name, translated graphically, builds a far more memorable signature than a generic ecological symbol.

The sustainable-goods and eco-design sector attracts an audience that's environmentally conscious, but also increasingly wary of greenwashing: the visual identity therefore needs to feel authentic and genuine, rather than a marketing veneer slapped onto a surface-level eco-friendly positioning.
