Axi Clothing — Logo for a Streetwear Brand

Axi Clothing is a French streetwear brand that wanted a bold identity, able to assert itself visually in a sector where brand image matters as much as the product itself.

Project background

Axi Clothing is a streetwear brand from Lyon, founded in 2023 by a young entrepreneur who threw himself into the project with enthusiasm. As is often the case with a first venture, he was later caught up by the demands of several projects running in parallel, and the brand ultimately didn't continue developing beyond the launch of its visual identity.

The work

The logo plays on angular shapes and bold typography, drawn directly from the visual codes of urban and streetwear culture. The goal: a logo instantly recognisable on a garment, packaging or social media, without ever blending into the mass of brands in the sector.

Why this style

In streetwear fashion, a logo has to function as a mark of social recognition as much as a classic brand identity: it needs to be worn, shown off, and stay legible even shrunk onto a small label or an embroidered badge.

What makes a good streetwear brand logo?

Streetwear is a sector where visual identity plays a role almost as important as the garment itself. A good streetwear brand logo needs to do several jobs at once: be recognisable at a glance on a t-shirt or a cap, work equally well embroidered or printed, and above all, make people want to show it off — wearing the logo should become an act of belonging to a culture, not just a brand label.

Streetwear's graphic codes often borrow from urban typography, graffiti, or bold angular shapes, but each brand has to find its own signature rather than copying the trends of the moment. A streetwear logo that's too generic quickly gets lost in a market saturated with new independent brands.
